English Subject

In general, the english always was a good subject for me, so I enjoyed a lot the experience of learning and assist to class of english, I found all the classes in general quite good and interesting, and I highlight above all, how participatory the classes are, about the blogs, I think it is a good learning method to write about different topics, I found it a comfortable and simple platform to deliver the assignments, and it also serves quite well as feedback between us students.

Some aspects of my English that I need to improve are grammar and learning to understand spoken English better. I plan to improve my grammar by taking online courses in the future so I can continue practicing my English and not lose the habit, and for spoken English, I plan to practice watching movies, series or playing video games in English.

Since I was a child I've liked English a lot, so outside of class I practice it in the same way on some occasions, although currently because of different jobs at the university I haven't had much time to practice. There are different occasions in which I use English either to practice it or because sometimes there is no other option, I use it to practice when some of my cousins or friends need help with some task or work and finally in many situations I use it because I install new games or applications and they are only in English, so English is always present in my life and since I was a child I have learned English through video games and series.

My Favorite Food

Hi everybody, today I´m going to write about my favorite food and I will do it by answering a series of questions, wich are: What is my favorite food?, Why do I like that food?, When was the first time I eat it?What place do I consider the best to eat that food?, How often do I eat that food?. Well It´s a litle difficult for me to choose only one food, but in this moment the only one I can think of is the pineapple pizza, since the first time I ate it, I´m in love with the taste of that pizza. In general I like the taste of all pizzas, but the particularity of the pineapple pizza and what finally captivates me is the combination of sweet and salty taste, pineapple combined with cheese, tomato sauce, ham and a pinch of oregano, make it one of the tastiest pizzas for me.

I don´t remember exactly the day I first tasted this pizza, but I do remember different moments when I was at school and we were leaving class with my friends, and went to a pizza parlor for lunch, near the school, called "Pizza Pizza", many of those times I would order a pineapple pizza, and my friends would look at me strangely, telling me that I was crazy and that they wouldn't eat any of that pizza , so I would end up eating it by myself.

In general, I always order this pizza when I go to a Papa Jonhs place, I love the the way they prepare it, and before the pandemic I usually bought this pizza at lunch time, but nowadays it's strange the time I eat pizza.

Changes to my study programme

Well, currently I study Architecture at the Universidad de Chile, in the faculty of architecture, design and urbanism. If I had to make a change in my curriculum it would be to add at least one subject in which they teach specifically to draw and to represent in a correct way, also a subject of obligatory graphic tools. I would not remove any subject, nor would I lower the pedagogical hours of one, since with the new curriculum I think many things were modified.

In the case of the infrastructure of the faculty, I think it needs great changes, the fact that it is cultural heritage prevents completely new constructions from being made, but at least it should be possible to manage a renovation of certain parts. Personally, I would start by remodeling the coffe shop, which is currently not a very welcoming place and is quite small, so you don't really enjoy being there. Another thing I would change would be the study rooms, as they were built a long time ago, they have deteriorated quite a bit over time, and the problems begins in winter due to the large amount of air that enters the rooms, making it a very cold space.

A last aspect would be to reform and give more importance to the student center and its meetings, as they become more and more necessary and important.

Beyond those aspects I think that personally I would not change anything else because although sometimes the working conditions are not the best, the university teaches the career in a good way and I trust that in the future modifications will be made for the good of the students.

My future Job

 

In the future, I´d like to work as an architect. I imagine it must be quite a tiring job, because in general it takes a lot of time to do architectural work and based on the experiences of my teachers, I know it is a demanding job.

As an Architect I would like to travel a lot, I think it is very important to know new places, see different types of buildings and ideas. I would like to travel either for work or for vacation, at least once to Spain and see the different buildings and modern architecture.

In terms of salary, I don't know much about it, although I know that depending on the area of architecture you work in, salaries vary. If I could choose how much money to earn, I would like to earn at least enough to be able to be independent and be able to travel to other places.

I am currently studying architecture, in my second year and so far I have passed all my subjects. I don't know what I want to specialize in yet, but the area related to urban planning catches my attention, I think that the subject is not only interesting, it is also important for the city of the future.

My Best Holidays

My best Holidays was in 2015 in Camboriú, Brasil.

This trip corresponded to my study tour, and it was very entertaining. In that year, I was in the school yet and it was my first trip outside of Chile, so I felt very nervous and exciting.

I traveled there with my classmates and my mother. We stayed in a hotel near the beach, we ate in a free fork restaurant and in general we didn´t spend too much time in the hotel.

As it was a study trip, we had activities every day, both day and night, one of the activities we had during the day was visiting Blumenau, we saw a lot of old houses and differents things related to the history of the place. In the night we went out to partys, and one of the best partys that I have in my life was there in Brasil, basically it was a foam party where we had to go dressed in white.

I met a lot of people and what I remember the most is the tropical climate because the mornings were very hot but the afternoons were very rainy.
